Promoting Wellness with Guided Imagery

Health Talk sponsored by Hanson Services, Inc.

Learn about this simple but powerful technique useful for dealing with a wide variety of life’s daily struggles, from basic stress to heath issues to mental health challenges. Guided Imagery promotes deep relaxation and helps you find your inner resources and empowerment to improve your coping skills. This program includes a demonstration in the quiet meeting space.

Learn the Library

The Student & Senior Pen Pal Program provides an opportunity for students and seniors alike to gain friendship with a person from another generation.​ Sign up online through Rec Desk  HERE  or at the front desk to be paired with someone who shares your interests.Once paired, bring your un-sealed letters in a stamped envelope to the Community Center’s front desk to be delivered after approval.

Middleburg Heights is partnering with We Thrive Together

Middleburg Heights is partnering with  We Thrive Together to offer individuals 60 years and older a way to Talk, Laugh, Play, Sweat, and Connect from the comfort and safety of home. The virtual programming includes games, presentations, discussion groups, exercise classes, virtual trips, and so much more. Check out the April Calendar and participate either by telephone or with any internet-ready device (computer, tablet, smartphone). SilverSneakers®

The SilverSneakers® Fitness Program is an innovative health, exercise and wellness program helping older adults live healthy, active lifestyles. Get fit, have fun, make friends!

Individuals who have Medicare coverage through their insurance company (usually age 65+) are eligible to take SilverSneakers' fitness classes for FREE. Non-SilverSneakers members who are members of the center pay $3 per class.
