Central Park Project Update
Construction of Middleburg Heights Central Park continues to make excellent progress, with several major phases now complete. Finished work includes all site excavation and earthwork, underground electrical installation, sanitary sewer installation, underground drainage, and the concrete seatwall. The signature onion swing structure is approximately 75% complete, while the concrete walkways and plazas are also about 75% complete. Site furnishings have been ordered and will be installed as construction advances.
Current work is focused on completing the walkways and plazas, installing brick pavers and decorative aggregate, constructing and placing playground equipment, building the Community Garden, installing the underground water supply and plumbing, and fabricating the distinctive “Middleburg Heights” script signage that will become a centerpiece of the park. Residents can look forward to the continued transformation of this exciting new community gathering space.
