Southland Smith Road Transformation
The Smith Road Streetscape Project between Pearl and W. 130th is open to two-way traffic. Pavement markings are in-place to help residents adjust to the new road layout.
- The MOT barrels that remain onsite are there to help delineate the parking shoulders and to cover tripping hazards in the sidewalk during the winter season. (There’s no exact timeline as to when MOT barrels will be removed).
- For the remainder of the season, the contractors will continue the installation of the irrigation system, as well as installing light poles and wiring. In the spring, landscaping will continue, and the traffic signal poles will be installed.
