Southland Smith Road Transformation

Work continues on the Southland Streetscape Project.

As of the end of September, the following work has been completed on Smith Road Streetscaping:

• Underground utilities have been replaced.
• Pavement replacement with reduced lanes and additional parking, new curbs, and drive aprons were installed.
• Decorative crosswalks, sidewalks, pavers, curb ramps, and median islands are 90% complete.
• The shared-use path on the northeast side of Smith Road was paved.
• Landscaping including ornamental trees, plantings, and irrigation were added.
• Traffic signal upgrades are 90% complete. Pedestrian crossings have been installed.
• Street lighting and gateway signs are 75% complete.
