For the ninth consecutive year, Southwest General Health Center has been named one of the best places to work in Northeast Ohio by the Employers Resource Council (ERC).
Southwest General, which has around 1,800 employees, received ERC’s NorthCoast99 award, given to the top 99 employers in the Northeast Ohio region.
The award recognizes companies and organizations that attract, retain and motivate top level employees. Criteria include training and development, rewards and recognition, management and supervision, employee involvement, leadership, communication and social responsibility.
“Southwest General is very fortunate to have outstanding employees at every level,” said Thomas A. Selden, FACHE, president and CEO, Southwest General. “We are very pleased and proud that the NorthCoast99 award recognizes the many programs the hospital offers to keep good workers and to attract others to join us.”
The annual recognition program began in 1999 by ERC and to date has honored nearly 400 organizations in 22 counties for their dedication to creating and maintaining a welcoming workplace.
