At the June 11, 2019 meeting of City Council, two Middleburg Heights Police Officers were promoted. Christopher Burgett was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. He has been serving the residents and businesses in Middleburg Heights as a police officer since June of 2001, and was promoted to Sergeant in 2011. He is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University, and was honored by the Cuyahoga County Chiefs of Police as the Outstanding Student in the field of Criminal Justice.

Dennis Santiago was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. He has been a Middleburg Heights police officer since 2010. He is a proud graduate of Midpark High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Baldwin Wallace University. He has previously worked for the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office, the Brook Park Police Department, and has had internships with the Ohio HIDTA and Lakewood Police Department.

Mayor Castelli administered the Oaths of Office for both Officers who were joined by family, friends and fellow members of the Middleburg Heights Police Department. Congratulations to Chief Tomba and the entire Middleburg Heights Police Department on their outstanding  achievements!
