Nation pays tribute to President Kennedy on 50th anniversary


Today marks the tragic 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.  Mayor Gary W. Starr is ordering that flags be lowered at all government buildings Friday, November 22, 2013.

A number of solemn events will be held today throughout the nation to remember this day.  The Associated Press reports that a moment of silence will take place at 12:30 CT/1:30 p.m. our time to mark when Kennedy was shot in Dallas, Texas.
