The Kidszone offers Activities, Camps & Clubs for toddlers through age 13 as well as in-house child care for ages birth through age 9 for members and guests using the center.

The Kidszone offers a punch card for $50 (a $60 value) based on $3 per hour per child  or $2 per half hour per child)! There is a 1.5 hour limit on visits. Cards are non-refundable and expire one year from date of purchase. We accept checks payable to the Middleburg Heights Community Center, cash or credit cards (Discover/MC/Visa/American Express).

All activities are open to Members, Non-members, Residents & Non-Residents.

Child must be required age by the start date of each activity. Please note: You MUST register during posted enrollment dates for each activity except for open gym (drop-in). Registrations will end 7 days prior to the start date of the activity. Activities fill quickly & a waiting list will be taken for each one as needed.

Full refunds for activities will not be issued. Partial refunds  up to 7 days prior to the start date depending on the program (with a $15 processing fee deducted from the total) MAY be issued. Check with the refund policy of the program prior to registering.

Summer Club

Activities include:  Short stories, games, crafts and structured play based on summer themes! Drop off in the MP room and pick up in the Kidszone! Must be potty trained- no exceptions. No snacks or drinks- water provided.

The Middleburg Heights Young Ambassadors

Do you have an interest in being an active role model in our city? Come join this group of young philanthropists in your community!

 The Middleburg Hts. Community Center is actively seeking the service of students, males and females, ages 10-14 (entering 5th-8th grade Fall ‘19) to design and engage in a variety of service experiences.  In order to enroll students must submit a paragraph (now-thru Wednesday May 29) describing why being an active youth in our community is important.  (Please include Name, Address, School, Phone Number, AND adult t-shirt size: XS, S, M, L, XL, on written paper and leave in a sealed envelope at the front desk marked “Young Ambassadors” Att: Joanna Mocho).  If your submission is accepted you will be asked to join this program and will be notified by June 1st.   Commitment may include visiting local off site environments attending Community Center functions (ex. Halloween and Tree Lighting events). Must be a resident, member, or have full time summer care with a resident of MHTS.  Young Ambassadors meet in the rec room on Fridays, date and time to be announced.

Kidszone Summer Camp ’19

***Please note that summer camp will only be offered Tues/Thurs, lunches WILL NOT be provided and there are no sibling discounts – look for specific details and activity #’s on the Summer Camp (blue) enrollment sheet. ***

Kids grades K-8thh keep your summer fun- filled with swimming (indoor grade k & 1 only, outdoor/indoor 2nd-8th) indoor/outdoor group games, simple crafts and playground visits all on site!     *See Jr. Counselor description below.

Looking for a place to hang out with friends for a couple hours this summer?  Help plan your summer days around fun!  Days may include themed activities, swimming, gym games, outdoor activities, Library visits; trips to Wendy’s/SUBWAY, and “lending a hand” with younger campers in crafts/ gym time.  Campers are welcome to bring a packed lunch or money for spending at the snack bar- no caffeine drinks please.  Sorry, no electronic devices permitted DURING CAMP HOURS!

Kidszone Child Care

The community center is happy to provide child care services to members and guests using the center. The Kidszone room is available for children ages newborn through 9 years.

The fee is $3 per hour. $2 for a half hour. No 50 cent increments. Punch cards for $50 of childcare ($60 value) can be purchased in The Kidszone Room during the Kidszone hours of operation. The parent/guardian must be physically in the center while the child is in The Kidszone area.

Hours for child care are:

  • Monday-Thursday from 8:30 to 10 am and 5 to 8 pm during the school year.
  • Monday-Friday from 9-11 am and 5-8 pm in June-early August.
  • Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.
  • Child care is not available on Sundays.
