THIS GAME DAY HELP THE CITY TACKLE WASTE BY RECYCLING

On February 4th all across the nation, Americans will be tuned into watching the 52nd Super Bowl with family and friends. The downside of coming together is the amount of trash that generates from it. That is why the City of Middleburg Heights has come up with tips to keep trash at your party at a minimum and what is considered recyclable.

Here are some tips of how to be less wasteful at your own Super Bowl Party:

  1. Use reusable cups and utensils.
  2. Use old china dishes or plastic containers.
  3. Serve beverages from large containers and dispensers.

If you do use paper or plastic just remember all disposable paper and plastic cups cannot be recycled. Do not place them in with curbside recycling. Make sure the red plastic cups (and all other colors) plus plastic utensils and disposable plates make it into the trash instead.
