Mayor Starr speaks out against proposed sewer rate hike

Middleburg Heights Mayor Gary Starr, calling the proposed $3 billion Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District rate hike “monstrous and job-killing,” wants a one-year delay so area governments can analyze its potential impact on the local economy.


Hydrant testing may temporarily discolor water

The Middleburg Heights Fire Department will be testing the operation and flowing water through all fire hydrants in the city beginning May 3, 2010. Residential and commercial areas will be tested throughout the day.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Middleburg Heights is eligible to apply for $35,000 in federal Community Development Block Grant funds administered by the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners through the Department of Development. The Cuyahoga County Parks and Playground Grant was created to assist communities with the design, upgrade or revitalization of a public park, playground, fitness trail or community garden.
