Weekly Update: Sears Demolition Project

5-12-25: Demolition work is completed at the former Sears Auto Center building at 6950 West 130th Street.

Removal of the demolition debris, and the building pad, will be completed this week. Abatement work continues at the former Sears department store building and is expected to be completed within the next four weeks. Once the abatement work is completed, demolition will immediately begin on the department store building.

The former Sears property is not accessible to the public during demolition and redevelopment.
