Animal Control Position (Temporary-Part-Time)

• Position will be funded for 90 Days from the start of employment.
• Maximum hours per week are 29 as directed by the Chief of Police, this may include some weekend hours.
• Rate of pay will be $30.00 per hour – no medical benefits.

Responsibilities will include:

• Responding to calls for service regarding animals in The City of Middleburg Heights.
• Following up with residents regarding any animal issue that a resident may have. Making recommendations to resolve those issues.
• Impounding animals who are abused or neglected in cooperation with a member of the Police Department.
• Work in a cooperative way with the staff of the Middleburg Heights Animal Shelter.
• Completing basic intake paperwork and reports.
• This employment opportunity is a 90-day contract position.
