The Middleburg Heights Fire Department to test fire hydrants beginning April 15, 2024

The Middleburg Heights Fire Department will be testing the operation and flowing water through all fire hydrants in the city beginning April 15, 2024. 

Residential and commercial areas will be tested throughout the day. Notification signs will be posted for each area in advance prior to testing.

Do not run your water while hydrants are being tested in your immediate area. All water users may experience some brownish discoloring in their water immediately after testing. Letting the cold water run for a few moments at the lowestpoint in your home will usually clear the water to its normal appearance. If water flow is restricted after hydrants are tested, remove, and clean all faucet screens and aerators.
