Middleburg Heights Recreation Department Receives State Award of Excellence

On February 4, 2020, Middleburg Heights Recreation Department received a First Place Award of Excellence from the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association (OPRA). This award represents the third time in the last four years that the city has received this award!

“Middleburg Heights Recreation represent the best of the best in parks and recreation in Ohio,” said OPRA Executive Director Woody Woodward. “Their programs and projects are changing the lives of people in their area and building a better community.”

Throughout the state, more than one hundred programs and projects were nominated and only eleven park and recreation agencies, including state parks, park districts, and urban, suburban, and rural cities were recognized with the highest First Place Award of Excellence.
