Okay, this may not be the Labor Day weekend article you anticipated, but a serendipitous meetup this morning, the Friday of Labor Day weekend, made me think of all the great groups we have here in our community and I couldn’t pass up the chance to write about this one.
I stumbled upon this energetic group in the Middleburg Heights City Hall parking lot as they headed toward the walking path behind our building. I wasn’t certain what was going on so I carefully watched the group of mothers aerobically cascade through the parking lot in single file form, with babies in strollers all in tow.
Then, all together, each woman in the line stood on one leg while raising the other behind her. I thought to myself, “This certainly can’t be coincidental!”
As it turns out, this group is called “Baby Boot Camp.”
This group of new mothers — each of whom has her own recent “Labor Day” to celebrate — works together to stay healthy and fit. I’m happy that Baby Boot Camp found Middleburg Heights to be a wonderful place to use as their outdoor gym, and we welcome them anytime!
If you would like more information, you can visit their website (babybootcamp.com) or text 216-526-2843.
On behalf of Middleburg Heights City Council and myself, please have a safe and relaxing Labor Day weekend!
