Special events surrounding the American Veterans Traveling Tribute are scheduled throughout the week, including the POW/MIA Missing Man Ceremony at 5:00PM on Thursday, July 21, the Dusk Gold and Blue Star Mothers Candlelight Vigil on Friday, July 22, and the Veterans Pinning Ceremony on Saturday, July 23 featuring Major General Donald Hilbert. Other opportunities include wall rubbing and name locator services as well as informational tents where attendees can learn more about the Vietnam War.

Mayor Starr is honored to have the memorial in the city and thanks the Middleburg Heights Chamber of Commerce for its help in organizing this memorable event. He encourages everyone pay their respects to our Vietnam veterans before the departure of the traveling wall on Sunday, July 24.

“Countless lives have been touched by the over 3 million servicemen and women who sacrificed their livelihoods, time with family, and the world they knew to serve in Vietnam. In every moment of our lives, we should honor those who answer the call to protect our way of life,” said Starr.
