      This year, Summer officially begins in Middleburg Heights one day sooner than anywhere else in the country!  That’s because we are kicking off our “Summer in the City” festival at the Southland Shopping Center on Thursday, June 20th at 5:00 pm.

      “Summer in the City” is one of the largest outdoor festivals held in Middleburg Heights featuring a host of great music and entertainment, plenty of kid friendly activities and over 20 carnival rides, games and even a Miss Middleburg Heights Pageant.

      Since its creation 6 years ago, “Summer in the City” has grown tremendously and now is well attended by over 26,000 festival goers! Please join us as we kick off a great summer-one day early!  For more information please visit www.summerinthecityfest.com

      Phase 1 of the Middleburg Heights $6.2 million dollar “NEIGHBORHOOD STREET IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM” is well under way and within one month Phase 2 will begin. Phase 3 is expected to begin in July 2013. 

       2013 Phase 1 includes the improvement of the following streets:

      • Fowles Road - Asphalt Section Repairs
      • Fry Road - Asphalt Section Repairs
      • Hickox Boulevard - Asphalt Resurfacing
      • Brinbourne Avenue (Grant to Brookside) Asphalt Resurfacing

    H&M Launches Global Garment-Recycling Initiative

    In February 2013, H&M launched a garment-recycling initiative that allows customers to exchange any used garments, from any brand, in any condition, at each of H&M’s 269 U.S. stores and 48 markets worldwide. This will help avoid textile waste, save natural resources and reduce environmental impact. H&M offers an incentive for the program.
