The Middleburg Heights Fire Department has begun testing and running water through all the fire hydrants in the city. Testing will take place in residential and commercial areas alike. Notification signs will be posted for each area prior to testing, which is expected to last throughout the summer.
Please note: Do not run your water while hydrants are being tested in your immediate area. You may notice some brownish discoloring in your water immediately after testing. Let the cold water run for a few moments – at the lowest point in your home – and it should return to its normal appearance. If your water flow is restricted after the hydrants are tested, remove and clean all faucet screens and aerators
