DANGEROUS EXOTIC ANIMALS TOPIC OF SEPT.9 FIRST RESPONDERS SEMINAR

Local first responders should plan to attend a short seminar on the topic of dealing with dangerous exotic animals they may encounter. The event takes place 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, at 15700 Bagley Road in Middleburg Heights.

Conducting the seminar will be Tim Harrison of Outreach for Animals. Tim is a police officer, firefighter and paramedic with extensive professional experience in raising and rehabilitating exotic animals. He says these animals – alligators, bears, lions and others – are indeed kept here in Ohio, so it’s crucial for first responders to know what to do should they encounter one.

Cost of the seminar is a $10 donation to Outreach for Animals. Click here for a flyer with more information about the seminar and Tim Harrison.
