We have been getting numerous reports of door to door solicitors from at least one energy marketer going door to door to residents in the city stating that Middleburg Hts. is no longer a member of NOPEC. This is completely false. Our community is a member of NOPEC and has been a member of NOPEC since its inception in 2000. NOPEC continues to be Middleburg Heights’ governmental opt-out aggregator for both natural gas and electricity. If you feel you have been moved or slammed to another supplier, you should call your utility company and report it. However, before any supplier can move you to another program you will receive a rescission letter from your utility. You have 7 or 10 days to rescind an enrollment with a supplier you don’t want and will need to call number provided in the recession letter.
